Conservation Leadership Scholarships

Deadlines   : 7th Dec, 2016
Study in     : Cambridge University, UK
Type          : Master of Philosophy

Two scholarship programmes have been generously established to support students from less developed and developing countries that are rich in biodiversity, to attend the MPhil in Conservation Leadership. The Miriam Rothschild Scholarship Programme in Conservation Leadership is generously supported by Arcadia. Additional scholarships are available as a result of support from another donor.

The number and size of the scholarships varies from full scholarships, to partial scholarships that cover specific aspects of the funding package required by students. Offers of scholarships will be made competitively based on: academic quality and the motivation and potential of candidates to become conservation leaders.

Applying for these scholarships involves a two-stage process. First, applicants should, if they have not already done so, make a formal application to the Graduate Admissions Office for a place on the course. See our Applications page for details of how to do so.

Second, scholarship applicants should write a financial case explaining the funds that they have available, and any funds that they still require to ensure they can take up a place on the course. This financial case should update any information given in the original application to the Graduate Admissions Office. The financial case should not exceed 200 words. Financial cases should then be e-mailed to the Programme Administrator, Lisa Harris (admin.conservationleadership@geog.cam.ac.uk). Please note that to be considered for these scholarships, applicants must (i) provide evidence of their current English language status (e.g. an IELTS test result) by the end of March, and (ii) meet the English Language requirement by the end of July in the year they wish to begin the course.
