Young Leadership Recognition Program

The Young Leadership Recognition Program is designed to feature current and future clinical and academic excellence in physicians practicing interventional cardiology and endovascular medicine.

Details regarding hotel and airfare will be shared closer to the conference dates. A special symposium, including current leaders in the field from academia, industry, and the US Food and Drug Administration, will be held at CRT 2017 for the selected Young Leadership Recognition Program participants.

Applications must be submitted electronically by following the link below. The curriculum vitae, supporting statement from the applicant’s program director, and letters of recommendation from two academic interventional cardiologists should be uploaded electronically with your application.

FELLOWS PROGRAM INFORMATION

 

The CRT Fellows Scholarship is available to Interventional Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Interventional Radiology, and Vascular Surgery Fellows, as well as 3rd year General Cardiology fellows and Interventional Cardiologists who are one-year post fellowship. Recipients have full access to the CRT 2017 Meeting and are not limited to a designated fellows track. An educational grant has been provided to MedStar Washington Hospital Center to support this outstanding program.

**In order to be considered, a fellowship verification letter on institutional letterhead, must be signed by either your Program Director or Cath Lab Director.

Deadline: Applications and verification letters must be submitted by November 16, 2016. After CRT has reached the quota of 300 fellows, a partial scholarship will be awarded for up to 100 fellows from the U.S. and Canada only. All applicants will receive notification of their acceptance status no later than December 2, 2016.

Full Scholarship for the First 300 Approved Fellows Includes:

  • Complimentary CRT 2017 registration
  • Coach airfare* within the U.S. or Canada (for flights into DCA, BWI, IAD), train fare, or mileage reimbursement
  • Hotel accommodations (3 Nights) on February 18, 19, 20, 2017
  • Reimbursement of approved out-of-pocket expenses for Domestic Fellows only (U.S. and Canada)
*CRT will not pay or reimburse for International air travel or coach airfare originating within the US or Canada

Partial Fellows Scholarship**

After CRT has reached the quota of 300 fellows, a partial scholarship will be awarded for up to 100 fellows from the U.S. and Canada only. The partial scholarship will include:
  • Complimentary Registration
  • Coach airfare, train fare, mileage reimbursement (U.S. and Canada)
**CRT does not cover hotel accommodations or reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses for the partial scholarships.

Physician Payment Sunshine Act: In accordance with the Physician Payment Sunshine Act, scholarships to attend CRT are reportable payments. More information about the Sunshine Act is available at http://go.cms.gov/openpayments.
