General Description
The Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2017 (GEC) will bring together thousands of startup ecosystem actors from all over 160 countries at Johannesburg, South Africa. The Global Entrepreneurship Study Tour will connect Myanmar entrepreneurs & ecosystem actors with their counterparts in two of the hottest entrepreneurship hubs in Africa – Johannesburg, South Africa and Nairobi, Kenya. During this congress and study tour, the delegates will meet people with different ideas and learn the insights of them. The delegates are also to leave the congress with new ideas and policies for their startups back in their own country.
Eligibility
The scholarship is open to all Myanmar nationals who meet the following criteria:
*Women, ethnic minorities and people living in rural areas are encouraged to apply, and will receive special consideration.
Selection Criteria
b. able to share lessons learned with the startup community in Myanmar
c. able to build connections with startup communities in other countries
d. complements others to create a well-rounded delegation

- 18+ years old
- proficient in English language (speaking, listening, reading, writing)
- holds a valid passport with minimum 2 blank pages
- able to commit to the full program

Selection Criteria
- The scholarship is NOT a competition.
- The scholarship will be awarded to an entrepreneur, startup employee, mentor, investor or policy maker who meets the following attributes:

d. complements others to create a well-rounded delegation
Scholarship covers
- The cost of the program, including all flights (domestic & international), local transportation, lodging and meals.
- NOT included the cost of extra activities (sight-seeing, going out), visas, travel and health insurance, or vaccines.
